Do Vote- Make your voice heard.

INDIAN VOTERS FACE THE DILEMMA BETWEEN DISHONESTY AND INCOMPETENCE.
How this statement is incorrect, now.
Choose one of the following options:-
1) Indian voters face the dilemma between incompetence and dishonesty?
2) Indian voters face a dilemma between farce elections and farce candidates?
3) Indian voters are satisfied with the candidates?
OR
4) None of the above?

So, If you for a minute faced a dilemma to chose the above three options, the fourth option comes to your rescue- NONE OF THE ABOVE.
Yes, the Election Commission of India has introduced an escapist route for the voters, to cure them of their dilemma.
I am not building palaces in the air  but am enlightening you that the voters are no more blinded or forced but can very well exercise the power of NOTA.
If we believe that our politicians are dishonest and incompetent, then better than not enjoying the franchise, we rather press NOTA and be responsible citizens.
Now, sadly, our voters work somewhat like this- If there are 2 candidates-  one who is charged with a corruption of Rs.3 Crore and the other one with charges of Rs.5 crore, and both are standing from the same constituency. The voters will obviously vote for the one who is less corrupt? Where is the dilemma? The only fault in this problem is the question.  The question being- When did "less corrupt" become a criteria of choosing a representative?

I have based my thoughts on the simple rescue option of None of the above. Franchise is a right of every citizen and how voting is an exercise to make our voices heard. Thus, everyone whether votes for A, B , C or NOTA, a t least we have made a difference.

Now that the 2014 elections are done with, in 2019, if you do not like the entire list of candidates for your own reasons, you can still exercise the right to vote by pressing the NOTA. Because then, it is not the incompetence or the dishonesty that will give you a dilemma but in reality the dilemma will be whether you are fulfilling the duties of an Indian citizen or not, by not voting at all.
Our voices have to be heard, choices have to be made and our democracy has to work  but if we do not press the button now, the other buttons, will press upon us for 5 whole years and will press hard. Then is when we will be in a dilemma- if we do not vote, not because people are incompetent and dishonest. That comes later.

For the people, By the people and Of the people holds great importance and BY the people, every 5 years, makes the change we wish to see. So, vote against all, but vote.

Be

Be brave. Be different. If not, then pretend to be. No one can tell the difference.

Don’t allow the phone to interrupt important moments. It’s there for your convenience, not the callers. Don’t be afraid to go out on a limb. That’s where the fruit is. Don’t burn bridges. You’ll be surprised how many times you have to cross the same river. Don’t forget, a person’s greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated. Don’t major in minor things. Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Helen Keller, Leonardo Da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. Don’t spread yourself too thin. Learn to say no politely and quickly. Don’t use time or words carelessly. Neither can be retrieved. Don’t waste time grieving over past mistakes Learn from them and move on. Every person needs to have their moment in the sun, when they raise their arms in victory, knowing that on this day, at his hour, they were at their very best. Get your priorities straight. No one ever said on his death bed, ‘Gee, if I’d only spent more time at the office’. Give people a second chance, but not a third. Judge your success by the degree that you’re enjoying peace, health and love. Learn to listen. Opportunity sometimes knocks very softly. Leave everything a little better than you found it. Live your life as an exclamation, not an explanation. Loosen up. Relax. Except for rare life and death matters, nothing is as important as it first seems. Never cut what can be untied. Never overestimate your power to change others. Never underestimate your power to change yourself. Remember that overnight success usually takes about fifteen years. Remember that winners do what losers don’t want to do. Seek opportunity, not security. A boat in harbor is safe, but in time its bottom will rot out. Spend less time worrying who’s right, more time deciding what’s right. Stop blaming others. Take responsibility for every area of your life. Success is getting what you want. Happiness is liking what you get. The importance of winning is not what we get from it, but what we become because of it. When facing a difficult task, act as though it’s impossible to fail.

Good Byes

Life is full of hard ships and partner ships, but the best part about life is that it consists of ships that never sink- Friendships.
In my nine years of being in a boarding school, i had never ever imagined that nine years pass as though they never started and i still stand at the same gate, wearing the same uniform, this time leaving, for never coming back as a student.
These are momentary phases that we all go through where we feel that "Wow! my life has completely changed!" but in a few days time, a new phase sets in and we hit reality, fresh beginnings and new friendships. But, besides all these circumstances, what we learn is what we keep forever as nothing is constant. All just gets stored as memories in our unconscious. The good, the bad and the ugly- i have seen all these in all my nine years, and all of it has been a lesson in someway or the other.
From waking up at 5:30am and going (forcibly) for P.T which was always the most hated feature of our daily chores to summing up the day in chanting prayers with all our house mates before retiring to bed, there was a lot to learn. From waiting for the fruit break bell to ring at 11:45 am to canteen time at 3:15pm with our 3 coupons i.e, Rs 30/- and a huge rack of stuff to chose from, there was a lot to learn. From eating the yummiest lunch of matar kulcha on a Tuesday (which was 'Silent Lunch', we didn't know why?) to assembling in the house courtyard with the entire house staff to listen to our senior prefects make announcements, there was a lot to learn.
As I grew older and starting finding my own way in school, the learning became more productive. From struggling to make our house win the 'best house' to not letting any house marks get cut (for small things like, coming late for assembly), there was a lot to learn. From entering the mess before the bell rings to leaving as soon as it rings, there was a lot to learn (how not to over-eat, there was a lot to learn.
Whether it be a small lecture from a teacher or the competitiveness derived from each challenge, there was and always will be a lot to learn.
All this kept changing. As we escalated from being a tiny 4th standard girl to an all round personality, and graduated but the only thing that remained constant were the ones that kept afloat- Friendships.
Through all those line-ups, canteens, fruit-breaks,  lunches, and of course, retiring to bed, there were a bunch of friends always waiting to be fun.
As people change, their likes and dislikes keep evolving. And in a girls' school, its inevitable. So everyone constantly changed their friend circles when they all finally settled for nothing less than their best friends in class 9. That is the time around which most girls discover their most loved ones. So, as most of the girls around, I,too figured out mine in class 9 and we all gradually moved into our own spaces and got engrossed in our own little world that we lost touch with the rest. But then, there comes a time when other things seem more important like Inter School competitions and our own streams of subjects that we start losing touch with everyone and get imbibed by our own space, only one individual's space.
The simple fact we busy people forget is that those who are not busy, are still there where you left them for fulfilling our needs and wants, neglecting theirs but when we realize, that they were permanent, we acknowledge their constant support which for me was extraordinary.I agree that I wasn't always the best friend around and that people had forgotten the real me as they didn't quite see my face very often but the fact that in my last 3 months of schooling, they were there. That's what makes the difference. The last impressions.
So after all the hardships, all the partnerships and all the friendships, Cheers to all who stood by.
Fare you well!
